No. Membership at Open Path Direct Care – Wichita does not require insurance. Our Direct Primary Care model is membership-based and removes insurance involvement. You may still keep insurance for services outside our clinic, such as imaging, specialty care, or hospital services.
Yes. Our Direct Primary Care membership works alongside your insurance, not as a replacement. Many members use their DPC membership for personalized primary care and keep insurance for services such as hospital care, imaging, or specialty visits.
Members can schedule appointments as soon as enrollment is complete. We offer timely access to care, including same-day or next-day appointments when available, along with secure messaging through our patient portal for ongoing support.
Yes. Enrollment in our Primary Care membership requires a minimum 6-month commitment. This ensures continuity of care and allows adequate time to address health concerns and establish a strong provider–patient relationship.
After the initial 6-month commitment is completed, memberships may be canceled with a 30-day written notice. Cancellation requests can be submitted through the patient portal or by contacting our office.
Your membership remains active during the 30-day notice period. You will continue to have access to services and your provider, and regular membership fees will apply during this time.
